Course Content:

  • Gather and analyse information from the news media to determine relevant trends and issues that would affect work teams in Singapore Public Service
  • Analyse the implications of global competitiveness on a team’s job in the Singapore Public Service
  • Identify the various competencies required in a team’s current jobs and any new requirements to the jobs within the Public Service
  • Identify gaps in a team’s current competencies to determine the relevant training and development needs and to select suitable learning opportunities that match an individual’s and the team’s learning styles
  • Develop a conducive work environment that facilitates the transfer of learning among team members
  • Promote opportunities for learning and coaching within a team
  • Analyse the impact of diversity on a team and facilitate collaboration between team members in a diverse team
  • Strategise and provide motivation to team members and help them adapt to job requirement changes in the work environment

 

Learning Methodology

This course will be conducted through mini lectures and active and facilitated learning involving interactive activities, group discussions, self-reflection, case studies, revision quizzes and assessments/tests.

Terms and Conditions: Training Grant Eligibility Criteria

  • Trainees must be either Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR).
  • Trainees must have achieved at least 75% attendance, have sat for all examinations and gain certification.
  • For company-sponsored trainees, companies must be registered or incorporated in Singapore.
  • Training grant is subject to SSG’s approval as well as terms and conditions.
